We are currently looking for an experienced Fire Protection Installer and Technical Supervisor to join us in Christchurch.
About the Role
In this position, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and inspecting passive fire protection systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that these systems meet New Zealand safety standards. As a Technical Supervisor, you will lead a team, oversee installation projects, and make certain that all work is executed to the highest quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
You will be tasked with installing and testing various passive fire protection systems, including firestopping systems for structural and service penetrations.
You will supervise installation teams, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and safely.
Conducting inspections and technical assessments of passive fire safety systems will also be part of your duties.
It will be essential to ensure that all work complies with New Zealand building codes and fire safety standards.
Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to team members.
About You
We are looking for candidates with at least 12 months of experience in passive fire protection system installation and/or construction.
Strong leadership skills and previous supervisory experience are essential for this role.
You should possess technical expertise and have an excellent understanding of New Zealand fire safety standards and regulations.
Good communication and teamwork skills will be important as you work closely with your colleagues.
Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $28 to $32, depending on experience.
You will have a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, along with opportunities for ongoing training and development.
