About the Role We are currently looking for experienced TIG pipe welders to join us for an important project with NZ Steel in Glenbrook, Auckland. If you possess the skills and experience to work with both carbon steel and stainless steel, we would love to hear from you. Duties As a TIG pipe welder, your responsibilities will include: - Performing TIG and Stick welding on carbon and stainless-steel pipes. - Welding pipes ranging from 1 to 4 inches, with the potential to work on pipes up to 30 inches. - Adhering to all New Zealand health and safety codes and practices while working on-site. - Listening to and following instructions from supervisors. - Completing a welding test in Tokoroa prior to starting, which includes a 6G position test on various pipe sizes. Requirements To qualify for this role, you should have: - The ability to pass the welding test in Tokoroa, with ASME 9 certification being beneficial. - Experience in TIG and Stick welding on carbon and stainless-steel pipes. - Reliable transportation and a valid New Zealand Driver's License. - A Site Safe or similar health and safety qualification. - Valid working rights in New Zealand. Benefits This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $30-$40, along with an additional 8% holiday pay and Kiwisaver contributions. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with opportunities for weekend work. This is a long-term project, providing stability and the chance to work with a respected company.
