About the Role
The Waitemata District Surgical Pathology Unit delivers histology and cytology services to both North Shore and Waitakere Hospital campuses, in addition to providing pathology services to BreastScreen Waitemata Northland and BreastScreen Auckland Central. We are looking for a highly motivated Administrator to join our administration team in a job share capacity. The working hours will be from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday, and from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm on Wednesday.
In this role, you will provide crucial administrative support to twelve anatomical pathologists who handle approximately 56,000 specimens from around 30,000 patients each year, spanning a variety of specialties.
About You
If you possess the following skills and experience, we would love to hear from you:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong data entry skills
- Experience with Dictaphone typing and familiarity with medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of staff
- Strong time management skills
- Familiarity with Delphic AP and hospital information systems is advantageous, though training will be provided to the successful candidate
