About the Role
We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Gastroenterologists to join our team at Te Toka Tumai Auckland Hospital and Greenlane Clinical Centre. We have both permanent and fixed-term full-time positions available, with the option for part-time roles at 0.8 FTE for those who prefer a flexible schedule.
In this role, you will bring strong skills in general gastroenterology and endoscopy, with opportunities to engage in ERCP sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in a high-demand specialty while being part of a collaborative and motivated team.
About the Service
Our Gastroenterology department at Te Toka Tumai Auckland provides secondary care for both inpatients and outpatients. We diagnose a wide range of upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions and perform therapeutic and advanced endoscopy procedures, including management of IBD, ERCP, and Spyglass.

About You
The ideal candidate will be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand and will need to provide source verification of qualifications for the registration application. You will need to possess the following:
- FRACP or an equivalent qualification with vocational registration in New Zealand
- Specialist accreditation in endoscopy recognized by the New Zealand Gastroenterology Society
- Training in General Internal Medicine
- Ability to function as an autonomous consultant in a teaching hospital
- ERCP and EUS experience is highly desirable
