About the Role We are currently seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to join our four Adult Community Mental Health Services located across the Auckland Region, including Manaaki House in Panmure, Cornwall House in Greenlane, Taylor Centre in Ponsonby, and Kainga Tiaki in Mt Eden. This is a permanent, full-time position, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer flexibility for the right candidate and provide immigration support for successful overseas applicants. In this role, you will be part of a vibrant and innovative multidisciplinary environment. Our community mental health teams deliver a comprehensive range of therapeutic treatment options, collaborating closely with service users, their families, and local communities. You will assess and manage the complex health needs of service users, providing effectively planned episodic care and home-based treatment options. We are also located near the University of Auckland Medical School, offering opportunities for involvement in formal teaching programs and supervision of medical students and Psychiatric Trainees. This proximity fosters potential research collaboration and supports your professional development. About the Team/Service/Location Our organization actively encourages the development of leadership skills among our Consultant Psychiatrists, and there are opportunities to apply for formal leadership positions within our services. About You To be successful in this role, you should be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand and possess a current Practising Certificate, or be eligible for registration. If you are an overseas specialist, please be prepared to provide source verification of your qualifications for your registration application. We are looking for candidates who have experience and a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges in a community setting. A dedication to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori is essential for this role. Additionally, you must hold a full and clean driver's license, as some community work will be involved.
