    About the Company We are The Indian Restaurant Limited, a well-established dining establishment located in Auckland. We pride ourselves on delivering authentic Indian cuisine and exceptional service to our guests. We are currently seeking a dedicated Restaurant Manager to join our team and contribute to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. About the Role As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant. This position requires a commitment of 32 to 35 hours per week, with hours scheduled on a weekly basis that may include weekend shifts. The pay rate for this role is between $23 to $24 per hour. Your responsibilities will include leading the recruitment, training, and development of staff while ensuring adherence to our standards. You will foster a welcoming environment for our guests by promoting exceptional customer service among employees. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing promotional strategies, managing our social media presence, coordinating special events, and analyzing customer feedback to enhance our restaurant’s visibility and reputation. You will also create and manage staff schedules, coordinate with the kitchen team for weekly stock orders, and handle deliveries. Daily banking tasks, preparation of stock and employee timesheet paperwork, and inventory management will also be part of your duties. You will analyze weekly sales and inventory reports to identify opportunities for business improvement, collaborate with the company owners, and oversee housekeeping activities to maintain cleanliness and presentation. Ensuring a safe working environment for both employees and customers is paramount. You will also address and resolve escalated customer complaints, provide excellent service in response to inquiries, manage purchasing and pricing of goods, oversee budgeting and financial transactions, collaborate with chefs on menu planning, organize special functions, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Requirements To qualify for this position, you should possess a diploma level 8 qualification in Hospitality or Business, along with at least five years of management experience in the hospitality sector. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Basic computer literacy is required, and a Duty Manager’s Certificate is a must. Additionally, a full driving license with a clean driving record is necessary.
