About the Role The Restaurant Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. We are seeking a candidate who is impeccably presented and possesses a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly in Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or a holder of an open work visa and should have at least four months of relevant work experience. This is a full-time position requiring 30 to 35 hours per week. The working hours will include lunch service from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and dinner service from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm, with flexibility to work weekends as needed. Requirements To excel in this role, the candidate should be able to: - Plan menus in consultation with our chefs. - Organize and coordinate special functions. - Manage the purchasing and pricing of goods in alignment with the budget. - Maintain accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions. - Ensure that dining facilities meet health regulations and maintain a clean, functional, and appealing atmosphere. - Engage with customers to gauge their satisfaction with meals and service. - Select, train, and supervise both waiting and kitchen staff. - Handle reservations, greet guests, and assist in taking orders.
