Description
About the Company
At Pathways, we are a leading provider of mental health and addiction services in Aotearoa. Our mission is to support individuals in living fulfilling lives within their communities, fostering hope and connections to what matters most to them.
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and inspiring leaders who are also registered clinicians to join our team and enhance our services. This role is ideal for those with experience in acute and high-complexity mental health and addiction services. You will be dedicated to responding to tāngata whai ora and their whānau during critical moments and will strive to bring out the best in your kaimahi.
Currently, we have two leadership opportunities available within our Feilding-based services. As Pathways is the new service provider at the St Dominics site in Feilding, we are aligning our structures with the broader organization. Our 'Whatever it takes' philosophy empowers staff to co-create a peaceful and reflective journey for our guests and those we support in a welcoming, home-like setting.
As a registered health professional—either a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with frontline management experience—you will oversee one of our services that provides 24/7 crisis respite care for up to six adults experiencing mental health distress. In this role, you will work alongside clinical teams and GPs to offer short-term crisis respite support.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent risk assessment skills, a solid understanding of mental health diagnoses and treatment options, and strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders. You will also have the ability to lead and manage our dedicated kaimahi, with opportunities to shape services by leveraging your strengths and passion for supporting individuals with acute and complex needs.
As a valued frontline leader, you will receive robust support from our exceptional leadership team in the Central region, enabling you to grow and thrive in your role.
You will also have the opportunity to be part of a leadership team, participate in regular meetings, and engage in professional development sessions. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional support to be part of a rotating after-hours on-call roster.
