About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Therapist (SLT) to join our Child Development Services (CDS) team on a permanent part-time basis, working at 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). The CDS operates within a multidisciplinary framework and serves children aged 0-16, promoting their developmental pathways to help them reach their full potential.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing appropriate therapy to enhance the development of swallowing, feeding skills, and speech language and communication for children with developmental disabilities.
- Conducting specialized developmental assessments for children facing social, communication, and intellectual challenges.
- Collaborating closely with families, members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), and external agencies to deliver evidence-based care.

About You
To be considered for this role, you should be a qualified Speech Language Therapist with membership in the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists' Association (NZSTA) and hold a current practicing certificate. While experience in Child Development is desirable, it is not mandatory, as we provide support from the SLT professional lead to facilitate your learning.
You should be enthusiastic about working within a multidisciplinary team and exhibit behaviors that align with the values of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. We also encourage new graduates to apply.
