About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Health Coach to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with Health Improvement Practitioners, general practice teams, and community partners to promote both mental and physical wellbeing. We understand the importance of flexibility, and hours can be adjusted to meet the needs of the successful applicant.
In this role, you will empower individuals to take an active role in their health journey by enhancing their knowledge, skills, and resilience.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supporting individuals in making sustainable lifestyle changes through evidence-based coaching and self-management strategies.
- Delivering both group and one-on-one wellbeing sessions that encourage autonomy, resilience, and mana motuhake.
- Providing culturally safe, non-judgmental, and person-centered care tailored to each individual's goals.
- Collaborating with healthcare and social service providers to ensure holistic, wrap-around support for our clients.
- Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within WRHN's wellbeing services.
What We Are Looking For
We seek a compassionate and proactive professional who:
- Possesses strong facilitation skills and enjoys leading group sessions that foster learning and connection.
- Can motivate and support individuals in identifying goals, overcoming barriers, and building confidence.
- Thrives in a collaborative and fast-evolving environment, while also being comfortable working independently.
- Has experience in mental health, addiction support, hauora Maori, or another relevant health field.
- Is open to developing skills in Te Ao Maori and Pacific models of care.
