    About the Company At Open Home Foundation (OHF), we are dedicated to supporting families and providing care for children. About the Role We are currently seeking a part-time Foster Parent Social Worker to join our team in Whanganui, working approximately 30 hours per week. In this role, you will focus on building strong relationships with foster families through training and ongoing support. We are looking for an individual who shares our vision and is committed to working closely with tamariki, rangatahi, whanau, and the community. The ideal candidate will employ a strengths-based and culturally appropriate approach that promotes family well-being and enhances whanau mauri ora. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: - A Social Work Qualification - Registration with the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) - Knowledge and experience in providing care services for tamariki and rangatahi - Familiarity with the legal framework surrounding tamariki in care - A commitment to supporting OHF's trauma-informed care models for tamariki and rangatahi - An in-depth understanding of the unique relationship between Māori and Tauiwi, along with a strong empathy for our organization's values - An alignment with the Open Home Foundation’s Christian Kaupapa - A full New Zealand driver's license is essential Benefits Joining our team means being part of a mission-driven organization that values collaboration and compassion.
