About the Company ConsultANZ is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a prominent civil engineering contractor in Wellington. Our company specializes in managing complex projects and is gearing up for a significant infrastructure development in the region. About the Role In this role, you will lead the commercial function of the organization, focusing on driving financial performance and strategic growth. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and executing commercial strategies that align with our business objectives. - Identifying new opportunities to expand our revenue streams. - Managing contracts, negotiations, and supplier relationships effectively. - Overseeing budgets, forecasts, and commercial reporting to ensure financial accuracy. - Ensuring compliance with all legal and contractual requirements. - Leading and mentoring the commercial team to foster a high-performance culture. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: - A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - A background in Quantity Surveying and cost management. - Experience with various contract types and fiscal project management, including subcontractor management, claims, variations, and progress reporting. - Ideally, familiarity with JDE systems would be advantageous.
