Description
About the Company
Miranda Smith Homecare is proud to be the first independently owned private homecare agency established in New Zealand. We are dedicated to working closely with our clients and their families to provide exceptional support within the comfort of their own homes. Our commitment to delivering excellent care to our clients is matched by our focus on providing outstanding support to our valued caregivers.
About the Role
As we have experienced an increase in clients requiring overnight support in Lower Hutt and the Wellington region, we are looking to expand our team of sleepover caregivers. We offer flexible 24/7 care, including various shifts covering mornings, nights, sleepovers, and wakeovers, from Monday to Sunday.
We are seeking caregivers with prior sleepover experience and good availability throughout the week. Our sleepover shifts typically last between 10 and 12 hours, during which your primary responsibility will be to ensure that clients' needs are met. This may include providing light personal care, companionship, and emotional support to help clients feel safe and secure during the night.
We consider it a privilege to be welcomed into our clients' homes, and we are looking for kind, loyal, gentle, and experienced caregivers to join our team. Experience with palliative and dementia care is highly regarded.
Our dedicated office team is here to provide support and guidance to our caregivers, including a clinical coordinator. We also offer after-hours support to both clients and caregivers to ensure you have access to assistance during weekends and nights.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A full driver’s license and access to a reliable car for transportation to and from clients’ homes

- Recent caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- A clear background and criminal check
