About the Role
We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time permanent POOL position. As a POOL staff member, you will play a vital role in providing continuous support by filling in for staff during annual leave and training periods.
This position will primarily involve wakeover shifts, although you may occasionally be required to work other shifts. Due to the specific needs of the individuals we support, this role requires a female staff member in accordance with the Health and Disability Code of Rights and Section 27 of the Human Rights Act 1993.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualities:
- A Passion for People: You should be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with others.
- Empathy and Understanding: A solid understanding of the Enabling Good Lives principles is essential.
- Team Player: You should be professional, honest, and reliable, with a flexible mindset that allows you to work effectively within a team.
- Practical Skills: You must be capable of providing personal care, including showering and dressing.
- Driver Licence: A full New Zealand Driver Licence is required, as driving a MASH van will be part of your responsibilities.
- Relevant Qualification: You should have or be committed to obtaining a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, which MASH Trust will fund if you meet the criteria.
