About the Role
We are currently seeking part-time Support Workers in Wellington. This role involves providing essential assistance to individuals in developing their independence and acquiring daily living skills. Responsibilities may include helping clients with public transportation, employment, financial management, and meal preparation. Additionally, Support Workers may assist with personal needs such as shopping, cleaning, bathing, and medication administration, depending on the specific requirements of the individuals they support.
Requirements
No prior experience in the health and disability sector is required; however, we value candidates who have a strong desire to build a career as a Support Worker and possess a positive attitude. We will provide full training and orientation for those who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including daytime, evening, overnight, and weekends
- Proficiency in using computers and tablets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical fitness to provide the necessary support
- A Full New Zealand driver's license or a commitment to obtain one
Benefits
We offer competitive pay ranging from $23.84 to $29.10 per hour, depending on relevant qualifications, with opportunities to earn more as you progress through your training. IDEA Services will support you in achieving the Level 2, 3, and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
