About the Role We are currently seeking part-time Support Workers in Wellington for our Whanau Support Services. In this role, you will help individuals in their homes and communities lead fulfilling and meaningful lives by assisting them in achieving their personal dreams and goals. Your support may involve engaging in various activities such as swimming, attending sporting events, participating in arts and crafts, going to the movies, or shopping. The possibilities are endless, and we encourage our clients to pursue their interests. Requirements We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and possess the following qualities: - Kindness and understanding - Good communication skills - Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly working with youth - A full driver's license and access to your own vehicle is essential - A desire to support individuals in learning new skills and achieving their goals - Initiative to encourage individuals to reach their aspirations, along with an energetic and outgoing personality - Respect for diverse lifestyles and viewpoints, along with empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, as the people we support come from various backgrounds with unique needs and interests Benefits We are proud to offer our employees competitive pay rates ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour.
