About the Role
We are currently looking for a generalist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team of eight specialists at our Rotorua and Taupo hospitals. This is a permanent, full-time position with a commitment of 0.9 FTE, and we are also open to considering part-time applications.

Our experienced team is stable and welcoming, making it an ideal setting for newly qualified specialists to begin their consultant careers.
In this role, you will provide services in both Rotorua and Taupo, participate in a 1:6 acute call roster, and benefit from excellent support from our Anaesthetic, Surgical, Radiology, and Intensive Care teams. We have established strong links with tertiary centers for additional support. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology team includes eight specialists (with two job sharing), three registrars, and dedicated support staff. Our department is accredited by RANZCOG for O&G registrar training and also offers teaching opportunities for 5th and 6th year medical students from Auckland Medical School.
Our facilities include modern ward areas, an Intensive Care Unit, theatres, and a state-of-the-art ambulatory outpatient area for Gynaecology, which supports outpatient hysteroscopy and Colposcopy/LLETZ procedures.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must hold Membership of RANZCOG (or an equivalent qualification) and possess or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
