About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Cancer Services team as a Cancer MDM Coordinator. This part-time position, working at a 0.4 FTE, is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality administrative support for our Waitemata Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Meetings (MDMs). In this essential role, you will contribute to the diagnosis and treatment decision-making processes that directly impact our cancer patients.
As a Cancer MDM Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-standard administrative support to clinical teams to ensure the smooth operation of MDMs.
- Assisting in the preparation of Cancer MDM agendas and ensuring that relevant information is available.
- Offering administrative support during meetings as needed.
- Managing documentation following MDMs and handling other administrative tasks related to the Cancer Service Team.
About You
We are looking for a confident and experienced administrator with a background in the public hospital system. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in hospital IT systems such as iPMS and Concerto.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
- Previous experience working with medical terminology.
- Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Initiative in problem-solving and good time management skills.
- The capability to follow established processes, work autonomously, and multitask effectively.
Familiarity with supporting teleconferencing would be advantageous, but we will provide training to ensure your success in this area.
