About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our innovative and passionate multi-disciplinary breast service team in Whangarei, Northland. This permanent part-time position, at 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), is based in a purpose-built clinic that is fully equipped to provide comprehensive care.
In this role, you will work alongside surgeons, specialist breast care nurses, medical imaging technologists, sonographers, and administrative teams. Your responsibilities may include both symptomatic and screening breast work, and you may also have the opportunity to engage in general radiology, depending on your specialty.
Our state-of-the-art breast centre features two Digital Mammography units, including tomosynthesis and tomosynthesis biopsy, as well as ultrasound capabilities. We offer a range of services, including multi-modality reporting, Digital Mammography with Tomosynthesis, Vacuum Assisted Biopsy, Ultrasound Stereotactic biopsy, hook wire localization, clip placement, triple assessment, and weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.

About You
To be considered for this role, you should have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a Diagnostic Interventional Radiology Vocational scope of practice. A strong interest in a sub-specialty or a sub-specialty fellowship will be advantageous.
