About the Role We are currently seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our specialist team in Christchurch. As a Specialist Support Worker, your role will involve assisting our clients in achieving their goals and reaching their potential through both practical and emotional support. Your responsibilities will vary based on individual care plans, which may include: - Meal preparation - Community outings and integration - Medication administration - Personal care (such as showering and toileting) - Bowel management - Manual handling and hoist transfers - Home management tasks Requirements We are looking for individuals who possess a genuine desire to help and support others, striving for excellence in all that they do. While previous healthcare or caregiving experience is desirable, it is not essential. Key requirements include: - Excellent communication skills - Flexibility to work alternative weekends - Healthcare qualifications are advantageous - A full New Zealand driver's license and reliable transport for most positions Benefits We offer competitive pay rates ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour, along with a variety of shifts to suit your schedule.
