About the Role We are seeking an experienced Class 5 driver to join our team based in Napier. In this position, you will be responsible for driving our Bitumen Tankers to deliver and transfer bitumen safely and efficiently across the North Island. You will become part of a small, high-performing team, playing a critical role in our operations. Key responsibilities include: - Operating a Napier-based FH16 Volvo, 700hp, Bitumen Tanker and Trailer - Ensuring safe and efficient product delivery - Collaborating with team members to maintain high performance standards Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - A valid Class 5 licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience driving Truck and Trailer - A Class 5 Dangerous Goods Licence is beneficial, but not essential; we will support you in obtaining this licence if needed - Familiarity with technology, including smartphones, apps, and tablets, as well as Eroad electronic logbooks - A strong commitment to professional, efficient, and safe driving practices at all times - Line haul experience, with knowledge of both road ranger and automatic gearboxes - Preferred experience in bulk liquid and dynamic load operations, though not essential - Flexibility to work on weekends and overnight as required - Experience in roading and infrastructure, particularly in bitumen operations - A strong focus on health and safety for yourself, your colleagues, and the public Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate and various benefits, including: - Support for professional development and knowledge of bitumen products - Allowances for staying away from home - Ongoing training and support for obtaining further licences - Access to Fletchers Benefits Programme, which includes discounted health insurance, family scholarships, a share scheme, and multi-business discounts - Brand new clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided - A well-maintained fleet of trucks, including Volvos, Hinos, and Isuzus We are committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
