About the Role
We are seeking a Transport Accommodation Coordinator to join our team in Whangarei. In this rewarding part-time role (0.85 FTE), you will work 34 hours per week on a rostered basis, which may include some weekend shifts. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the people of Te Tai Tokerau Northland have access to the healthcare they need by coordinating transport services for renal patients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating daily transport for renal patients to and from the three regional Renal Units.
- Managing the District's transport fleet maintenance and repairs.
- Supporting and maintaining driver inductions and education programs.
- Preparing and managing staff rosters, leave, and additional shifts.
- Handling administration for travel and accommodation in accordance with the National Travel Assistance (NTA) and District policies.
This role offers a diverse range of tasks that will keep you engaged and motivated, working alongside a supportive and dedicated team.
About You
We are looking for a self-motivated and innovative administrator with prior experience in coordination, logistics, or customer service. You should possess the ability to be flexible and actively participate in meeting deadlines and service expectations.

- An empathetic approach to assisting individuals in their times of need while adhering to prescribed policies.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds, various staff levels, and community agencies, while developing relevant networks.
- Strong computer skills, with a willingness to enhance your knowledge of various systems.
- The capability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- A relevant qualification is preferred, or significant experience in a similar role.
