Steel Fixers Required - Throughout Northland

About the Role We are looking for experienced Steel Fixers for immediate and ongoing deployment across various infrastructure and commercial projects throughout New Zealand. These are full-time, permanent positions with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on major projects, with site locations based on project demand. This role is well-suited for individuals with proven experience in structural reinforcement and the ability to work from detailed drawings, as well as those who are open to relocating or traveling as necessary. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: - Interpret engineering plans and drawings to cut, bend, and place steel bars and mesh. - Tie rebar using appropriate techniques for various reinforcement systems. - Place and secure steel within formwork prior to concrete pouring. - Comply with health, safety, and quality standards on-site. - Work efficiently as part of large construction teams under strict deadlines. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have: - A minimum of 3 years of experience in steel fixing or reinforcing steel, either in New Zealand or overseas. - The ability to read and interpret technical drawings effectively. - Strong physical fitness and attention to detail. - Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is preferred. - Relevant trade experience or qualifications will be advantageous. Nationwide Opportunity and Travel While this role is listed in Northland, we are recruiting for positions that will be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements. The regions include: North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington. South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland. We invite applicants from any of these regions, and candidates must be willing to travel or relocate within the country as needed. The company will cover relocation costs. Benefits In addition to a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, we provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools.
