About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Abdominal and Pelvic Radiologist to join our Radiology department at Waikato Hospital on a permanent, full-time basis (80 hours per fortnight). In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting and reporting various imaging studies, including CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and MRI. You will handle a diverse range of complex clinical cases within your area of expertise, focusing on hepatobiliary/pancreas, urology, gynecology, and gastrointestinal diseases. Your workload will also involve general radiology and acute imaging.
You will have the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary meetings, teach registrars, and contribute to the ongoing development of high standards within our department.

About the Team/Service
Waikato Hospital serves as a tertiary training hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Centre for the Waikato region, making it one of the busiest facilities in New Zealand. Our Radiology Department performs approximately 200,000 examinations annually, with a significant emphasis on Emergency and Trauma imaging as well as Oncology. Located in the heart of Hamilton city, we offer a vibrant community with a reasonable cost of living and convenient commuting options. Hamilton's proximity to major cities like Auckland and Tauranga makes it an ideal base for exploring New Zealand during weekends and holidays.

About You
- Experience in Abdominal Radiology
- Experience in CT Colonography
- Experience in Male and Female Pelvic MRI
- Ongoing Imaging Group (OG Imaging) experience preferred
- Eligibility for Registration as a Specialist Diagnostic Radiologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Subspecialty fellowship or interest in body imaging preferred
