Waikato Hospital is a premier tertiary training hospital located in the heart of Hamilton city, New Zealand. As a Level 1 Trauma Centre, we serve the entire Waikato region and are one of the busiest hospitals in the country. Our Radiology Department conducts approximately 200,000 examinations annually, with a strong focus on Emergency and Trauma imaging as well as Oncology. About the Role
We are looking for an experienced General Radiologist to join our dedicated Radiology department at Waikato Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 80 hours of work per fortnight. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting and reporting a variety of imaging studies, including CT, Ultrasound, and X-Ray. You will handle a diverse range of complex clinical cases spanning both outpatient and acute imaging.
In addition to reporting on radiologic studies, you will supervise and teach registrars, participate in subspecialty multidisciplinary meetings, and contribute to the continuous development of high standards within our department.

About You
We are seeking a candidate who can assess and make effective decisions under pressure in complex situations, employing sound judgment to solve problems. You should have a strong understanding of how to utilize data to enhance quality, performance, and growth.
To be eligible for this role, you must hold Registration as a Specialist Diagnostic Radiologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and a subspecialty fellowship is preferred.
