About the Role
We are currently accepting applications for Non-Training Registrar Positions for the 2026/2027 training year at Waikato Hospital. Candidates with at least two years of postgraduate hospital experience, including a range of surgical exposure, will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants who have shown a commitment to pursuing a career in ENT.
Waikato Hospital is equipped with 550 general inpatient beds and performs over 34,000 surgical procedures annually across a 24-theatre operating suite. Our emergency department handles an average of 220 presentations per day.

About the Team/Service
Waikato Hospital serves as a teaching hospital and the primary tertiary referral center for the Te Manawa Taki and Waikato regions, with a patient catchment of approximately 1,007,000 people. We are unique in New Zealand for offering all surgical specialties on one campus and serve as the major trauma hospital for the Te Manawa Taki region.
Situated in Hamilton, the third-largest city in New Zealand's North Island, our location offers a wonderful lifestyle and a high quality of life. About You
As an ENT Non-Training Registrar, you will ideally have completed your PGY3 or possess equivalent experience. While experience in Orthopaedics is a bonus, it is not a requirement. You must also be eligible to work in New Zealand.
