About the Role We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team in General Subspecialty Paediatrics at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. We are looking for a general paediatrician with a passion for and experience in paediatric neurodevelopment to enhance our dedicated team of paediatricians. In this role, you will participate in the on-call roster and manage general paediatric outpatient clinics. Our top priorities include delivering equitable service, providing excellent paediatric care, fostering optimal team-based collaboration, and offering teaching and training to junior doctors. Requirements To qualify for this position, you must hold or be eligible to apply for a vocational scope of practice in Paediatrics with the Medical Council of New Zealand. The key responsibilities of this role include: - Conducting efficient and effective assessments and management of patients in line with accepted professional guidelines - Engaging in research related to patient treatment - Providing clinical advice and support to other staff members - Performing investigative and treatment procedures in accordance with organizational policies and guidelines - Offering verbal advice to general practitioners who seek assistance - Participating in community health promotion activities - Fulfilling on-call duties About Our Service At Waikato Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora, we are on a transformative journey to become New Zealand's leading Children's Health Service. About Waikato Hospital - Hamilton Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital and a leading tertiary teaching facility located in Hamilton, New Zealand. With approximately 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure center, Waikato Hospital offers comprehensive services, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy.
