Steel Fixers Required Throughout Bay of Plenty

About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for immediate and ongoing deployment on various infrastructure and commercial projects throughout New Zealand. These positions are full-time and permanent, with site locations determined by project demand. This role is particularly suited for individuals with a solid background in structural reinforcement who are open to relocating or traveling as necessary. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for: - Interpreting engineering plans and drawings to cut, bend, and place steel bars and mesh. - Tying rebar using correct techniques for various reinforcement systems. - Placing and securing steel within formwork before concrete is poured. - Complying with health, safety, and quality standards on-site. - Working efficiently in large construction teams to meet strict deadlines. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should have: - A minimum of three years' experience in steel fixing or reinforcing steel, either in New Zealand or overseas. - The ability to read and work from technical drawings. - Strong physical fitness and attention to detail. - Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is preferred. - Relevant trade experience or qualifications would be advantageous. Nationwide Opportunity and Travel Although this role is listed in Bay of Plenty, we are hiring for positions that will be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements. The regions include: North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington. South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland. We encourage applicants from any of these regions to apply, and candidates must be willing to travel or relocate as needed. The company will cover relocation costs. Benefits We offer competitive pay ranging from $26.00 to $40.00 per hour, with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week.
