About the Role
We are seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our Community Services team in Ashburton. If you are looking for flexibility around other commitments, we offer a permanent, part-time position that may suit your needs.
In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to assisting clients in living independently within their homes and communities. You will support clients in achieving their goals and reaching their potential through both practical and emotional support.
Your responsibilities may vary and will involve following a care plan that includes tasks such as:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Administering medication
- Personal care (such as showering and toileting)
- Home management (housework)
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who have a genuine desire to help and support others while striving for excellence in all they do. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Health and Wellbeing qualification along with one to three years of relevant work experience
- Experience in using a hoist
- Excellent communication skills
- A full NZ driver's license and reliable transport (most positions require this)
