About the Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Class 5 driver with a proven track record in the New Zealand civil construction industry. This role requires a skilled driver who can safely and efficiently load and unload various heavy plant and machinery in a variety of environments. The position offers approximately 40-50 hours of work per week, operating from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed. Flexibility in shift hours is essential, as they may vary, and reliability for early starts is a must.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Full Class 5 Licence (with WTR endorsement)
- BESS Registration
- Class 2 Pilot's Licence
- Proven experience in transporting heavy and oversized plant equipment
- Confidence in reversing a truck and trailer, managing jack-knifing, and utilizing a road ranger gearbox
- Experience with tipping and spreading
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive, positive attitude
- Flexibility to assist with various operations and tasks as required
- Comfort working on both civil and residential sites across metropolitan and regional areas
- A strong commitment to Health and Safety
