Truck Driver class 2

Our team is committed to maintaining high standards of service and professionalism. We are currently seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our team on a mixed shift schedule. About the Role In this position, you will be responsible for driving and delivering goods while ensuring the safety and security of the loads. We will provide the necessary training to help you become familiar with your duties, allowing you to work independently after the training period. Key Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: - Driving duties that encompass loading and unloading goods. - Ensuring loads are secured and delivered correctly. - Completing required documentation accurately. - Maintaining a daily truck logbook and submitting reports on mileage to the head office. - Reporting any equipment or mechanical failures immediately. - Managing routes and schedules to maximize efficiency. - Finding ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business. - Acting as a brand advocate in all interactions with clients and the public. - Conducting daily inspections of the vehicle at the start and end of each shift, and reporting any issues or damage to management. - Complying with in-house regulations and rules. - Performing additional duties as requested by management, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle and organizing tools and equipment. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: - A full Class 2 Driving License. - A minimum of one year of relevant work experience. - DG, F, and OSH endorsements are preferred but not essential. - The ability to pass a drug test. - Good physical health and fitness to sort freight if required. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Benefits We offer competitive compensation, with pay rates ranging from $27 to $33 per hour based on work experience. - Minimum working hours range from 30 to 60 hours per week. - Workdays are from Monday to Sunday with two days off. - Work hours are between 4 AM and 8 PM, with flexibility in scheduling. - Location is primarily in Christchurch and surrounding areas.
