About the Role The Cardiology Service Administrator plays a crucial role within our Sub Specialty team, providing essential scheduling and workflow support to the Cardiology service. In this position, you will serve as a primary point of contact for Cardiology Senior Medical Officers (SMOs), the administration team, and other clinicians regarding roster changes and leave management. Your responsibilities will include managing the interface between booking clerks and clinical staff to ensure that scheduling systems and processes operate smoothly, and that vital information is readily available. This part-time role requires you to work 31.6 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with a full salary range of $75,201 to $83,092 (pro-rated). About the Service Our Cardiology Service provides both secondary and tertiary care for patients experiencing cardiac health issues. The department operates outpatient clinics across the Wellington Region, as well as at Whanganui Hospital. We offer a rehabilitation service and various diagnostic monitoring services at our Wellington facility, alongside a Cardiac Care Unit dedicated to acute cardiac assessment and management. Day cases are managed in the Interventional Recovery Ward, located adjacent to the cardiac catheter suite. You will be joining a busy and dynamic service comprised of both clinical and non-clinical staff. About You We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and experience in developing administrative procedures. You should be highly organized and capable of effectively prioritizing your workload, managing multiple tasks even under pressure. Proficiency in computer programs, particularly Microsoft Office, is essential.
