About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Typist to join our team, providing accurate and timely transcription services to clinicians while managing the processing of transcribed clinical documents daily. In this role, you will play a vital part in serving patients, families, and health professionals.
Your keen attention to detail will be essential as you transform incoming dictation into formal letters, ensuring that important information is readily available to those involved in patient care.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Transcribing dictations from clinicians
- Managing the processing of clinical documents
- Communicating effectively with both clinical and non-clinical staff
- Performing general administrative duties
This is a part-time position requiring work from Tuesday to Friday, for six hours each day. The salary range for this position is $66,611 to $75,628, pro-rated.
About the Team
You will join a dedicated group of clinical typists who specialize in transcription work, providing high-quality services to clinical staff across the Capital, Coast, and Hutt Valley District. Our team is diverse, multicultural, and committed to making a positive contribution to the patient journey. We work collaboratively and support one another to achieve our common goals.
Clinical Typing is a part of The Patient Administration Service (PAS), which comprises five services that work together to enhance the patient experience from referral to discharge. Our aim is to deliver efficient and effective administrative support, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled typist or transcriptionist with exceptional attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude. A strong command of written English, including comprehension, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology is also required.
