About the Role We are excited to offer a permanent opportunity for a Senior Process Technician to join our team at our Dunsandel manufacturing wetmix plant. In this role, you will operate our highly automated plant to convert milk and ingredients into value-added products. You will be responsible for meeting production processing requirements, addressing plant and process challenges, performing cleaning tasks, and conducting plant walks and inspections. Our shift pattern is designed to provide flexibility and promote work-life balance, allowing for four days off between shifts. The shift schedule is as follows: 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 days off, with each shift lasting 12.5 hours. The main responsibilities of this role include: - Operating critical manufacturing equipment within specified running parameters - Ensuring that all products are manufactured to specifications and meet quality standards - Maintaining a high-quality manufacturing environment - Adhering to Synlait’s Quality and Safety Principles - Following good documentation practices - Investigating production, safety, and quality issues to identify root causes - Demonstrating an understanding of Integrated Work Systems (IWS) principles - Managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment - Communicating clearly and being motivated to learn To succeed in this role, you will need to be proactive in delivering processing requirements and possess strong problem-solving abilities. Skills and Experience We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating Steriliser/Wet Process machinery, along with strong technical knowledge. You should be capable of troubleshooting mechanical issues while optimizing efficiency and product quality.
