About the Role
We are currently seeking Scaffolders to become a part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects and public events, where your skills will be essential in building and erecting scaffolding and working platforms. Flexibility in work locations is preferred, as you may be required to assist projects across the country.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building and erecting scaffolding structures for construction projects, as well as creating stands and tiered seating for events such as concerts and sporting activities.
- Inspecting work areas to determine the appropriate scaffolding requirements and making the necessary calculations.
- Unloading scaffolding materials and assembling tubing and braces to form stable frameworks, while also installing ladders, rails, and other attachments.
- Regularly checking and maintaining scaffolding equipment, ensuring safety through thorough inspections, and safely dismantling scaffolding upon project completion.
- Performing any additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of one year of relevant scaffolding experience or a qualification equivalent to NZQF level 2 or 3.
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management abilities, and an excellent work ethic.
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the scaffolding industry.
- A solid understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Benefits
- Competitive pay ranging from $26.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- A guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
- The opportunity to work in various locations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
- This position is permanent and full-time.
