About the Company
sKids was established in 1996 by two parents who sought to create a structured out-of-school care service for primary-aged children. Today, we are proud to be New Zealand’s preferred destination for kids after school, welcoming over 3,800 tamariki daily at more than 170 school sites. About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated individual to assist with the day-to-day supervisory care and responsibilities related to our program delivery. In this role, you will manage communication between parents and the school, support staff, and collaborate with your team members.
The position requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week. Primarily, your hours will be scheduled during our after-school program, with some opportunities to work during the before-school program as well.
The working hours are as follows:
- Monday to Friday only
- After-school schedule: Between 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM
- Before-school schedule: 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM
- Holiday program hours (if available) can be scheduled anytime between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Location of work: Westmere Primary, Auckland.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- A strong passion for working with children aged 5-12 and a desire to inspire confidence while encouraging them to be true to themselves.
- Previous experience in childcare, education, or organizing before and after-school programs is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, as you will be the primary liaison between sKids and the parents.
- A collaborative spirit and a strong ability to work as part of a team.
- A valid New Zealand work or student visa, or be a New Zealand resident or citizen.
Please note that, in compliance with the Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004, only applicants over the age of 20 years can be considered for this role.
