About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the North Shore, Auckland region. The successful candidate will need to have access to a vehicle or be willing to work at multiple sites within the area. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising and assisting children during program activities, ensuring that the environment is clean, tidy, hygienic, and safe for all children, staff, parents, and visitors.
Additionally, you will assist the Programme Manager in running the daily schedule as outlined in your task list. It will also be important to report any concerns regarding a child or behavioral issues to the Programme Manager.
The position requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week, primarily during after-school program hours. However, there may be opportunities to work in the before-school program as well. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with after-school hours from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM and before-school hours from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM. The primary location for this role will be at Marshal Laing School in Mt Roskill, Auckland.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
- Be able to commute and work at the designated sites
- Have a keen interest in working in similar industries
- Possess previous experience working with children, whether through babysitting or volunteer experience
