About the Company:
sKids was established in 1996 when two parents recognized the need for a structured out-of-school care service for primary-aged children. About the Role:
As a Casual Programme Assistant, you will play a vital role in supervising and assisting children during program activities. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining a clean, tidy, hygienic, and safe working environment for children, staff, parents, and visitors at all times. You will assist the Programme Manager in running the daily schedule according to outlined duties and report any concerns regarding a child or behavioral issues.
The successful candidates will be required to travel to various sites in the Central region, including Marshall Laing School (your primary site), Hillsborough, and Dominion Road. Flexibility and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this role.
Your work hours will be based on a casual schedule, primarily on weekdays, with a focus on after-school shifts. The typical after-school hours are from 2:30 PM to 6 PM, with before-school hours from 7 AM to 8:30 AM, as needed.
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
- Ability to commute and work across the specified sites
- A keen interest in working within similar industries
- Previous experience working with children, whether through babysitting or volunteer work
