About the Role
We are currently seeking three full-time permanent staff members for our POOL positions, each working 80 hours per fortnight. The POOL staff members will provide coverage for various gaps due to annual leave and training. This means that your shift pattern may vary from week to week, but you will receive a schedule of 40 hours at least a fortnight in advance. Candidates must be available to work both AM and PM shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- A genuine passion for helping people, along with patience, friendliness, and kindness
- Previous experience as a Support Worker
- An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with individuals
- Professionalism, honesty, and reliability as a team player with a flexible approach
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to be part of a supportive team
- Ability to assist with personal care as required
- A full New Zealand Driver Licence, as driving a MASH van will be part of your responsibilities
- A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or a commitment to working towards this qualification, which will be funded by MASH Trust
