About the Role
We are currently seeking Support Workers in the Horowhenua, Kapiti, and Mana regions. This role is vital in assisting individuals in building their independence and developing essential skills for daily living. Responsibilities include helping clients navigate public transportation, secure employment, manage finances, and prepare meals. Depending on the specific needs of the individuals we support, you may also assist with shopping, cleaning, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
Requirements
No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but we value a strong desire to advance as a Support Worker, along with a positive attitude. Full training and orientation will be provided to those who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Candidates must be available for flexible shifts, which may include days, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers. Proficiency in using computers and tablets is required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical fitness to provide necessary support is essential, and applicants must possess a Full NZ driver's license or be willing to work towards obtaining one.
Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $23.84 to $29.10, depending on your qualifications, with opportunities to earn more as you further your education. IDEA Services will assist you in achieving Level 2, 3, and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
