About the Role We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as permanent, full-time Support Workers in our Intensive Support Services located in Kapiti Coast. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting rangatahi and tamariki who utilize our services, helping them to live as independently as possible within their communities. Our Support Workers operate as part of a dedicated team that provides 24/7 coverage through various shifts or specific rosters. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, facilitating community outings, promoting integration, and supporting daily living activities. Your efforts will enable the people we support to enhance their independence. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess: - A strong desire to support rangatahi and tamariki in acquiring new skills and achieving their goals. - Prior experience in assisting others with daily living activities, preferably with individuals who have intellectual or physical disabilities. - Ideally, experience working with children or youth. - A full driver's license and the confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training will be provided). - Initiative and the ability to encourage individuals to pursue their personal goals, along with an energetic and outgoing demeanor. - Respect for diverse perspectives and lifestyles that may differ from your own. - Flexibility to work overnight shifts as scheduled, including weekends. - Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, as the individuals we support come from various backgrounds with diverse needs and interests.
