About the Role We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead our retail departments and ensure service excellence at our new location. This key leadership position will focus on empowering our team, maximizing sales, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. The role requires a commitment of 42.5 hours per week, including a permanent weekend rostered shift. In this role, you will: - Oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail departments. - Drive customer service excellence to create a seamless shopping experience. - Collaborate with the General Manager and team members to achieve store goals and profitability. - Manage stock, merchandising, promotions, and retail service delivery. - Support recruitment, rostering, and performance management within your zone. - Actively participate in Duty Management and key holding responsibilities. - Coach and develop your team to provide exceptional customer experiences. - Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, store policies, and legislative requirements. - Maintain high standards of merchandise presentation and operational efficiency. Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need: - Proven leadership experience in a retail environment. - The ability to coach, motivate, and empower teams effectively. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - An understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Fair Trading Act and Consumer Guarantees Act. - IT competency and familiarity with retail systems. - A passion for home improvement and a desire to assist customers with their projects.
