About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store in Cambridge, Waikato. This full-time position requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, based on a rotating roster. As a Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team, ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible, and contributing to the overall success of our store. Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring customers receive prompt service and high-quality goods and services.
- Addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints regarding products and services.
- Planning and preparing work schedules while assigning staff to specific duties.
- Conducting interviews, hiring, training, evaluating, promoting, and managing staff grievances.
- Instructing staff on how to navigate complicated sales procedures effectively.
- Examining returned goods and determining appropriate actions.
- Managing inventory and ordering new stock as necessary.
- Ensuring that products are correctly priced and displayed.
- Enforcing safety and security procedures throughout the store.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes:
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and public holidays, in line with store hours from Monday to Sunday.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when handling customers.
- A strong focus on personal presentation and hygiene, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
To be considered for this position, candidates must currently reside in New Zealand and either be a citizen, resident, or possess the legal right to work full-time in New Zealand.
Benefits
In this role, you will receive competitive compensation, with a pay range starting at $25.00 per hour, and the potential to earn up to $30.00 per hour based on experience.
