About the Role
We are seeking a Front of House Manager to join our Food & Beverage team at SkyCity Hamilton. In this full-time position, reporting to the Head of Hospitality, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our Casino food and beverage outlets, as well as the Functions team. Your primary focus will be to cultivate a culture of excellence in service, product quality, and customer experience.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Leading and developing our team through recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing coaching.
- Overseeing the execution and delivery of conferences and events tailored to customer specifications.
- Ensuring that staff are fully trained and empowered to perform at their best.
- Monitoring budget plans and financial performance.
- Guaranteeing exceptional customer service experiences.
- Coordinating and communicating cross-functional business requirements, such as marketing promotions.
This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with some flexibility for work outside of standard office hours.
About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about optimizing resource use while providing clear direction, training, and development to the team. Flexibility to work shifts in our food and beverage outlets and during functions, including weekends and evenings, is essential. You will lead from the front, actively engaging with your team.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong people skills, with a proven ability to problem-solve while maintaining a customer-centric focus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage, including at least 3 years in a management role.
- Experience in staff recruitment, onboarding, management, and training.
- A background in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L oversight.
- Cultural awareness developed through experience in a multinational team.
- A current General Manager's Certificate.
Experience in a multi-outlet environment and strong industry networks, particularly within the local area, would be advantageous.
