About the Role We are currently seeking energetic and motivated individuals to join our team as permanent, full-time Support Workers for night shifts within our Christchurch Residential Services. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team that creates a safe environment, enabling individuals to develop confidence, acquire new skills, and build friendships while engaging with the community. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with various aspects of daily life. This includes supporting them in activities such as swimming, personal care, meal preparation, household management tasks, and teaching essential life skills. The responsibilities are diverse and fulfilling. Our Support Workers work in shifts to provide 24/7 support, with opportunities for additional sleepover payments available in certain rosters. Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria: - A minimum Level 3 Health and Wellbeing qualification is required. - A passion for helping others, coupled with kindness and understanding. - Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly with individuals facing disabilities and challenging behaviors. - A full driver's license is essential. - We seek individuals who are energetic, outgoing, and possess the initiative to encourage those we support in achieving their goals. - An understanding and respect for diverse lifestyles and perspectives is crucial. - Flexibility to work overnight shifts across various rosters, including weekends. - Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important, as the individuals we support come from a range of backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
