About the Role
We are currently seeking part-time Support Workers in Christchurch for our Whanau Support Services. As a Support Worker, your role will involve assisting individuals in their homes and communities, empowering them to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. You will help them achieve their personal dreams and goals through engaging activities such as swimming, attending sporting events, participating in arts and crafts, watching movies, or shopping—the possibilities are endless.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about helping others, exhibiting kindness and understanding. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly with youth.
A full driver's license and personal vehicle are essential for this position. We seek individuals who are proactive in supporting others to learn new skills and achieve their goals. The ideal candidate is energetic, outgoing, and able to think creatively. It is important to approach this role with respect for the diverse perspectives and lifestyles of those we support.
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are vital, as the individuals we assist come from various backgrounds with unique needs and interests.

In return for your dedication, we offer competitive pay rates ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour. You will also have the opportunity to earn while you learn through free training towards NZQA Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
