About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our Medical Outpatients Department at Whangarei Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time position with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a crucial role as an allied health professional with specialized expertise in cardiology physiology. Your primary focus will be on pacing and you will be responsible for delivering advanced cardiology physiology practices. Additionally, you will participate in the growth and development of our Cardiology Service, providing clinical teaching and support to various stakeholders, including patients and their whanau, students, staff, and other health professionals. You will also be involved in evaluating service requirements and contributing to clinical research and audits.

About You
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:
- A Bachelor of Science in Clinical Physiology or an equivalent qualification
- New Zealand registration and a current annual practicing certificate
- A recognized postgraduate qualification (e.g., IBHRE)
- CPRB registration (or an international equivalent) with a current practicing certificate
- A valid Driver's License and a willingness to travel
- Excellent self-management and organizational skills
You should be an autonomous practitioner capable of independent reporting. While not essential, having a relevant clinical postgraduate Master's degree or at least six years of post-qualification experience in cardiac physiology, including a minimum of four years in pacing, would be highly desirable.
