Our transport division, APL Direct, plays a crucial role in delivering aluminium, glass, and other associated products across the country. About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a role that focuses on the efficient unloading of inbound line-haul trucks and the reloading of freight destined for our South Island customers. This position requires a team player who is available to work from Saturday to Sunday and is committed to ensuring that freight is moved safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities - Unload inbound glass line-haul units from the North Island in a safe and timely manner. - Sort and reload freight, including glass frail and trolleys, for regional South Island deliveries. - Check freight documentation for accuracy and maintain clear records. - Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with shifts scheduled from Saturday to Sunday, between 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Flexible timing can be accommodated if necessary. - Enjoy excellent working conditions in a well-equipped logistics center. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - A current F endorsement and OSH Certificate is preferred; however, we are willing to provide training for the right individual. - A minimum Class 1 licence; a Class 4 licence is advantageous. - High attention to detail and accuracy to ensure all freight is handled correctly. - A good understanding of safe loading practices and transport legislation. - Impeccable safety standards. - A positive and flexible attitude.
