About the Role We are currently seeking full-time Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team. This position involves working on various infrastructure and commercial construction projects throughout New Zealand. You will be responsible for the placement, securing, and tying of structural steel components according to engineering plans, ensuring that all work meets safety standards and maintains structural integrity. These are full-time, permanent roles with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week, and the specific site location will depend on project demands. Key Responsibilities - Interpret engineering plans and drawings to accurately place and secure structural steel components - Tie reinforcement steel using appropriate techniques for various reinforcement systems - Collaborate with site teams to ensure timely and safe installation of steelwork - Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards on-site - Work efficiently as part of large construction teams under strict deadlines Skills and Experience Required - A minimum of 2 years of experience in structural steel placement and reinforcement tying, whether locally or overseas - Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings - Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity - Knowledge of safety procedures and quality control in steel construction - Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure construction projects is preferred - Relevant trade experience or qualifications are advantageous Nationwide Opportunity and Travel While this role is advertised in Waikato, we have openings available across all regions of New Zealand based on project requirements.
