About the Role
We are looking for a skilled technician to join our Clinical Engineering Department. In this permanent, full-time position, you will experience a diverse range of responsibilities and equipment, ensuring that clinical services run smoothly. Your role will involve servicing and maintaining medical equipment, ensuring it is safe and operational for use in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for maintaining the clinical equipment asset pool for your designated areas, ensuring all equipment is serviced on time. Your attention to detail and commitment to completing paperwork accurately will be essential.
Additionally, you will engage in ongoing professional development and equipment training, while also providing support and guidance to junior technicians. Promoting a positive and collaborative team culture will be an integral part of your role.
About the Team
You will be joining a friendly and highly skilled team of 20 Clinical Engineers dedicated to serving Waikato Hospital and the surrounding 'T' Hospital areas, including Thames, Taumarunui, Tokoroa, Matariki Te Awamutu, and Rhoda Read Morrinsville. We take great pride in our work, knowing that the equipment we maintain is crucial for the doctors, surgeons, and nurses who provide care to our community.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess strong fault-finding skills and a solid understanding of processes and system architecture related to medical equipment.
Key qualifications include:
- EST, EAS, EASQ or E Electrical Registration or a current Trainee License
- Experience with Fluke EAS615 / Rigel 288+
- Clinical Engineering experience
- Familiarity with EAM Hexagon or Cabrini Service Manager is advantageous
- Testing experience in accordance with AS/NZS 3551
- Availability to be on-call once every two months
